KAIA — From the Amazon. To the World.

Amazonian Ingredients & Product Innovation

FROM THE AMAZON.
TO THE WORLD.

Premium Amazonian ingredients for food, beverage, wellness and product innovation.

Rooted in origin. Built on traceability. Driven by innovation.

Amazonian Origin. Global Possibilities.

Exceptional ingredients.
Remarkable origins.
New possibilities.

KAIA connects premium ingredients from the Brazilian Amazon with international food, beverage, nutraceutical, wellness and personal care markets.

We work closely with experienced partners at origin to build transparent supply chains, preserve product identity and create opportunities for ingredients that deserve a place far beyond the forest.

But sourcing is only the beginning.

Our long-term vision is to bring together origin, science, technology and product development to create a new generation of products that are functional, enjoyable and rooted in the extraordinary biodiversity of the Amazon.

01 — Origin

It starts where the ingredient grows.

Our relationships at origin provide access to producers, local knowledge, traditional practices and ingredients shaped by one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth.

02 — Traceability

Know what you're sourcing — and where it comes from.

We are building supply chains designed around producer identification, lot control, processing information and supporting documentation whenever available.

03 — Innovation

Ingredients are only the beginning.

We explore how Amazonian biodiversity can inspire new applications across functional foods, beverages, chocolate, nutrition, wellness and personal care.

Premium · Maués Origin

Premium Maués Guaraná

Natural energy with an extraordinary origin.

Guaraná (Paullinia cupana) has been part of Amazonian life for centuries, with its history deeply connected to the Sateré-Mawé people and the region of Maués.

Unlike commodity guaraná produced primarily for industrial extraction, our focus is on carefully processed guaraná intended as a premium food and functional ingredient.

The fruit is harvested when mature, the seeds are processed, roasted, peeled and finely milled to create a distinctive powder suitable for product development across multiple categories.

A Relationship Built Over Decades

Some supply chains begin with a transaction.
This one began with a journey.

More than two decades ago, one of KAIA's co-owners left northern Italy for the Brazilian Amazon as a young volunteer.

What began as a mission became a life.

He developed a deep connection with the people, the rivers, the forest and the culture of Maués — and eventually built his family and his future there.

Over the years, that connection evolved into direct relationships with local producers and a growing understanding of guaraná, cacao and other ingredients of the forest.

The journey eventually led to cultivation, processing, traceability and product development — including the creation of functional chocolate combining Amazonian cacao with guaraná.

Today, that experience at origin becomes part of KAIA's foundation: decades of relationships and practical knowledge connected with international market development and a new vision for Amazonian innovation.

From Maués

A place shaped by guaraná.

Maués, in the Brazilian state of Amazonas, has one of the world's deepest historical relationships with guaraná.

Here, production is not simply agriculture. It is knowledge passed through generations, adapted to rivers, seasons, communities and the realities of life in the Amazon.

Small production volumes, manual harvesting and traditional processing make this fundamentally different from large-scale commodity agriculture.

We don't want to turn this into a commodity.
We want to preserve what makes it valuable.

Traceability Begins at Origin

Behind every lot, there is a place.
And there are people.

Our approach to traceability begins long before an ingredient reaches a warehouse. Producer information can be connected to individual sacks and production lots, allowing origin information to follow the ingredient through processing.

As KAIA scales, our goal is to integrate this existing knowledge into a digital traceability system that provides commercial partners with meaningful information about origin, processing and quality.

Future Feature

Scan the Origin

Our vision is simple: scan a lot and discover the journey behind the ingredient.

Amazonian Cacao + Guaraná

When natural energy meets chocolate.

What if a functional product didn't have to choose between purpose and pleasure?

Amazonian cacao and Maués guaraná come together in an existing product concept that demonstrates exactly the kind of innovation KAIA wants to explore.

Chocolate becomes more than confectionery — it becomes a platform for discovering how exceptional Amazonian ingredients can work together in entirely new ways.

Extra Virgin Brazil Nut Oil

A familiar Amazonian ingredient, seen differently.

Brazil nuts are known around the world. Their oil remains largely undiscovered.

Produced from carefully selected Brazil nuts, this premium Amazonian oil opens opportunities across culinary, specialty food, beauty, personal care and wellness applications, subject to product grade and market requirements.

Biodiversity Made Usable

Amazonian Botanicals

Some Amazonian plants are extraordinary at origin but difficult to bring into global product development because of perishability, logistics and limited shelf life. Modern processing technologies such as freeze-drying can transform selected plants into stable, lightweight powders, opening new possibilities for formulation, transportation and international markets.

The Ingredient Is the Beginning

What could this become?

KAIA was not created simply to move ingredients from one country to another.
We want to discover what those ingredients can become.

  • A natural source of caffeine can become a beverage.
  • Cacao and guaraná can become functional chocolate.
  • A seasonal fruit can become a stable ingredient through the right processing technology.
  • A botanical oil can move from the forest into premium culinary, wellness or personal care applications.

This is where origin meets product development.

Our Product Principle

HEALTHY. FUNCTIONAL. DELICIOUS.

Too often, consumers are asked to choose.

Products that are functional aren't always enjoyable. Products that taste great aren't always nutritionally interesting. And products positioned as healthy don't always deliver a meaningful function.

KAIA wants to explore the space where these qualities meet.

GOOD FOR A REASON.
ENJOYABLE BY DESIGN.

Our Long-Term Vision

An innovation hub in the Amazon.

Our long-term ambition is to develop research, product-development and manufacturing capabilities close to origin.

A place where producers, food scientists, chefs, nutrition specialists, engineers and international partners can work together with ingredients where they actually grow.

A place to test processing technologies, develop formulations, extend the usefulness of seasonal ingredients and create new products from Amazonian biodiversity.

Innovation shouldn't require removing the Amazon from the equation.
We believe some of the most meaningful innovation can happen right there.

Value at Origin

Better markets can create stronger communities.

We believe long-term impact begins with economic value. When quality is recognized and better products find better markets, producers have a reason to preserve quality, knowledge and productive landscapes.

Our goal is to help build commercial relationships where value is shared more fairly across the supply chain.

Not charity.Opportunity.
Not extraction.Partnership.
Not anonymous commodities.Traceable value.

Built on Relationships

The Amazon is not an inventory of ingredients.
It is home to people, cultures, ecosystems and knowledge.

Responsible sourcing means understanding that reality, respecting the people behind the supply chain and building commercial relationships designed to last.

About KAIA

Born between two worlds.

KAIA was created from a simple idea: extraordinary Amazonian ingredients deserve extraordinary opportunities.

Our foundation brings together decades of experience at origin in the Brazilian Amazon with international business, trade, operations and market development.

One side of KAIA lives close to the ingredients — working with producers, understanding seasons, processing, quality and the realities of the supply chain.

The other connects those capabilities with international customers, product developers, manufacturers and markets.
